Welcome to our new vicar

The waiting is over and the excitement is growing. Although there is still over a month to go before his induction towards the end of November, everyone at Holy Trinity is eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new vicar, Daniel Valentine.

We have been extremely fortunate to have been looked after during the eighteen-month vacancy by three wonderful priests, Stephen Caple, David Tickner and Stephen Terry to whom we are very grateful indeed. However, it is not the same as having our own vicar!

We know that having a vicar in post is important not just for the church but also for the whole community. However, come the new year we may well be wondering what the fuss was all about. The calendar will have rolled on just the same. We will have had the mayor’s election, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Sunday, Advent, Christmas Tree Festival and Christmas itself.

Daniel will be collated to the Benefice of Cuckfield and Bolney by the Lord Bishop of Chichester, The Rt Revd Martin Warner, and inducted by the Archdeacon of Horsham, the Venerable Angela Martin, on Wednesday 22nd November at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Cuckfield.
