Your shoes will help to change children’s lives by buying educational equipment such as the ‘School in a Box’. ‘School in a Box’ can transform any space into a learning area, with enough resources to educate 40 children, allowing them the chance to learn, no matter where they are, or what disaster has struck them.
Marks & Spencer also operates a similar recycling scheme. To recycle at Marks & Spencer, bring your unwanted shoes to an Oxfam charity shop. You can receive a £5 M&S voucher for your donation.
Finally, rather than take them to the Recycling Centre in Burgess Hill, you can drop them off at a shoe recycling point at MSDC in Boltro Road, Haywards Heath. If you recycle them here, they will decide if the shoes have any life left in them, and if so, will recycle/reuse them. If they are beyond use, then they are shredded and used to make new items. Always recycle in pairs.
