Easter with Holy Trinity Church Cuckfield - 2026

29th March/Palm Sunday:
9.45am: Festal Eucharist Palm Sunday begins with a shared procession of praise. as we journey together from celebration into the heart of the story. 
6pm : The Way Of The Cross A shared, reflective processional devotion tracing the Passion of Christ. Scripture, silence, music. 

30th/31st March and 1st April:
9pm: Compline is the church's gentle night prayer — simple, calm and held by psalms. scripture and silence. Gentle, restful and open to all. 

31st March:
1-4pm: Easter Fun day (Book) Join us for our Easter Fun Day — bouncy castle, egg hunts. games, crafts and friendly farm animals. A joyful afternoon for the whole community.

 2nd April/Maundy Thursday:
8pm: The supper of the Lord & Vigil Foot washing, Eucharist, stripping the alter and silent vigil. Stay as long or as little as you like.

3rd April/Good Friday:
12pm: At The Fool of the Cross
2pm : The Liturgy of Good Friday Prayer, silence & Music followed by Hot Cross Buns! 

4th April:
8pm: The Great Vigil of Easter From Darkness to Light- The Heart of Easter

 5th April/Easter Day:
9.45am : Festal Eucharist - CHRIST IS RISEN! Come join us for a glass of fizz.

30th March - 5th April:
Family Easter Trail -Enjoy o Easter trail through the churchyard - follow the clues, find the hidden message, and collect a sweet reward. Open all week for families to drop in and explore.

On Sunday 9th November 2025, the village will gather for Remembrance Sunday in partnership with the Royal British Legion.

At 10.45am people will meet at the War Memorial before keeping the Two Minutes’ Silence at 11am and laying wreaths. The community will then move into Holy Trinity Church for the Civic Service and Parade, with hymns, readings, poetry, and the solemn Roll Call of Honour. Representatives from local schools, the Armed Forces, veterans, and community leaders will take part, followed by refreshments in the Old School. ‘At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them’. All these services and events are free and open to all.


Remembrance 2024

This year, we aim to relaunch the Cuckfield branch of the Royal British Legion. The Cuckfield branch will be selling poppies from the lobby of The Queen’s Hall on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th October and Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd November from 10am through to 12.30pm. I encourage you to join the Cuckfield branch (visit www.britishlegion.org.uk and select “Cuckfield”.

Remembrance Sunday on 10th November will be marked with a 10.45am service at the War Memorial, including a two-minute silence at 11am.
Following this, a church parade will take place at Holy Trinity, with refreshments in the Old School.
At 6pm, ‘For the Fallen’ will feature music, poetry, and reflections, honouring those lost or affected by war.
