Warden Park community embraces book recycling with Books2Africa

Recently, it was time for the Learning Resource Centre at Warden Park Secondary Academy to have a bit of an upgrade, with new PCs put in and some of the less-used reference books needing a new home. Sam Targett, Student Futures and LRC Manager, called out to the local community to help. Soon enough, over 15 boxes of books were loaded up - with the help of the staff at Warden Park - and taken down to Canterbury to start their onward journey to communities in Africa. Books2Africa sorts the books and uploads all their details so that the African teachers can request specific items for their schools and colleges. So far, some of Warden Park’s books have already jetted their way over to Nairobi in Kenya, to be used and enjoyed by students all over again.
