The Gillian Fabb Memorial Fund

Val Fabb - Gillian Fabb Memorial Fund

A charity set up in memory of an eight year old Cuckfield girl who died from a rare form of cancer reaches a milestone this year.

For the past 40 years The Gillian Fabb Memorial Fund has been close to the hearts of Cuckfield residents, as Gilly’s mum Val has worked tirelessly to raise funds for research into child cancer and to ensure that some good came from her daughter’s tragic death.

With support from her family, friends and generations of Cuckfield residents, Val has raised thousands of pounds to provide vital equipment for children’s hospitals.

As the charity marks its 40th anniversary, Val shares Gilly’s story, and tells how fund raising helped the family cope with their loss and how she hopes to top the magic £200,000 mark by the end of the year.
