Cuckfield Bonfire Society (CBS) will hosts its annual event in just a few weeks time: Saturday 2nd November 2019 at Cuckfield Park.

The giant bonfire will be lit by the newly elected mayor of Cuckfield at 6.45pm. Also featured on the fire will be Guys made by pupils of Holy Trinity School.

At 7.30pm spectators are treated to a professional firework display set to music.

CBS has always supported local charities and this year the beneficiaries will be Cuckfield’s Holy Trinity School, Woodlands Meed School and the disability charity Kangaroos, based in Haywards Heath.

A spokesperson for the bonfire society explained: “We couldn’t put on this event without the support not only of the professional companies we employ for security and fireworks but also over 45 volunteers who help with car parking and marshalling. We are also very grateful, of course, to the Mayou family for allowing us to use their beautiful grounds.”

The organisers expect to host around 6,000 people on the night, where they will also be able to make use of numerous food and drink vendors on site (there is a strict no alcohol policy).

Admission to the event is just £25 for a family ticket (2 adults, 3 children), £8 per adult and £5 for under 16s. On site car parking is available, at a cost of £2. Gates open at 5.30pm on Saturday 2nd November.
